Overair released footage of full-scale powertrain testing of the propulsion system that will be used in their upcoming Butterfly eVTOL aircraft, with a first flight targeted for 2023 (via Overair):

Boeing followed-on an earlier investment into Wisk with an additional $450m USD to support growth, commercialisation and production of the Kitty Hawk spin-out's two-seat Cora pilotless eVTOL (via Wisk).
SUPERNAL | URBAN AIR PORT
Hyundai Group's Urban Air Mobility (UAM) subsidiary Supernal will take a minority stake in British vertiport developers Urban-Air Port. The new investment (of an undisclosed amount) will be used to support the development of some 200 vertiports worldwide, over the next five years (via Bloomberg).
DORNIER SEAWINGS
Dornier Seawings announced the acquisition of the two-seat amphibious light sport Flywhale FW650 from Uniplanes GmbH. The aircraft will be marketed as the DS-2C and will also be used "...as a research platform to enter the ‘advanced air mobility’ segment and to present the DS-2C-X-eVTOL, the world’s first amphibious eVTOL jet" (via Dornier Seawings):
LIFT AIRCRAFT | PARALLEL FLIGHT TECHNOLOGIES
LIFT Aircraft's HEXA eVTOL could see endurance extended from 15 to around 60 minutes, following an agreement to work on a hybrid powertrain solution, together with Parallel Flight Technologies (via EIN).
AUTOFLIGHT
Chinese eVTOL startup Autoflight announced the establishment of an "R&D and Certification Center" at Augsburg Airport in Germany. Headed by Mark Henning - a former programme manager at Airbus Helicopters - the European unit is tasked with achieving EASA certification for the company's Prosperity I air taxi by 2025 (via Autoflight).
CITY OF HAMBURG
The City of Hamburg has embarked upon a project to develop and construct a modular vertiport within two years, and will support it with €3m of funding (via Hamburg Aviation).
SKYPORTS
UK-based global vertiport developer Skyports have completed the acquisition of a heliport in the East of London close to the Canary Wharf financial district. Re-branded as Skyports London Heliport it'll continue to serve the helicopter market into the "mid-2020s" by which point the company aim to have equipped the facility to "enable the operation of fully-electric eVTOL aircraft" (via Skyports):

Aspiring vertiport network developer Skyportz signed a deal in their native Australia that reportedly gives them access to over 400 of Secure Parking's rooftops (via Transport UP).

A USAF pilot remotely flew a Kitty Hawk Heaviside aircraft in California (as part of the AFWERX Agility Prime programme), reported to be the first such flight of an eVTOL by a US government employee (via AFWERX):

GE Aviation are working on a NASA Innovation Award project to connect Flight Management Systems (FMS) and Air Traffic Management (ATM) for use in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) applications (AAM). GE's 'TrueCourse' FMS is being integrated with technologies from Mosaic ATM and SmartSky Networks on the project (via SmartSky Networks).

JETSON AERO
Swedish startup Jetson Aero are reportedly fundraising, having sold over 100 units of their $92,000 USD personal eVTOL in just two months and fielded another "3,000 purchase requests." Buoyed by millions of views of their launch video (and a recent mention on the Joe Rogan podcast) the company have attracted the backing of Swedish Silicon Valley veteran and angel investor Rikard Steiber who'll support their growth and help bring in new capital (via SUAS):

US "SemiSolid" lithium-ion battery cell specialists 24M have received $9m USD from the US Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA-E) "to develop and scale next-generation high energy density lithium metal anode cells for electric aviation". They'll setup a pilot production line and plan "a clear path to gigascale production capacity" (via BusinessWire).
